Lawrence police and Massachusetts State Police responded the shooting near Central Catholic High School, located at 300 Hampshire Street, around 2:30 a.m., NBC Boston reports.
The victims, who were found at local businesses, were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds they sustained while walking on a path that runs along the Spicket River, Lawrence Police said.
Both were taken to local hospitals with injuries described as non-life-threatening, police said. So far, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
